Otokoyama Nature Park is one of Hokkaido’s largest fields of wild katakuri. Katakuri is a small purple lily that blooms in spring.[19][4]
The park opens from mid-April to early May, 9:00–17:00, and entry is free. For more katakuri, Tosshōzan hill on the city’s northern edge has one of Japan’s largest colonies.[19][4]
